Rock um Knuedler

The annual Rock um Knuedler started out some 22 years ago primarily as a showcase for local bands. Still a free festival, it now attracts an international headline act as well as interesting bands from around Europe, while still giving Luxembourg artists a chance to perform in front of their home crowd. The festival now features three stages – two on the place Guillaume II and one on the place Clairefontaine. Local artists on the bill include Mount Stealth, Inborn, Versus You, Angel at my Table and Kate. This year’s headline act is former Supertramp singer Roger Hodgson and Band. Hodgson wrote many of the band’s hits including still popular songs such as ‘Breakfast in America’, ‘The Logical Song’ and ‘It’s Raining Again’.

Thank you so much for bringing Roger Hodgson, co-founder of Supertramp, to Luxembourg. I have been so greatly looking forward to this concert for weeks. I saw Roger’s show last year while on holiday and it was absolutely fantastic! I am still thinking about it all these months later. It is Roger who wrote and sang the great majority of the band’s hits to include Dreamer, Give a Little Bit, It’s Raining Again, The Logical Song, Breakfast in America, Take the Long Way Home, School, Fool’s Overture, and so many more. If you were or are a Supertramp fan, do what you have to do to get to Roger’s show. You will see the true heart and soul of the band.
